Welcome to See Me Cook! Today I'll show you exactly how to cook Air Fryer Filet Mignon step by step. Let's go!
Step 1: Prep Your Steaks (5 minutes)
Remove steaks from the fridge 30 minutes early. Pat completely dry, brush with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on all sides.
Step 2: Preheat the Air Fryer
Set to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 5 full minutes. A hot air fryer gives you that instant sear.

Step 3: Cook
Medium-rare: 8 min total, flip at 4 min → 130°F internal
Medium: 10-12 min, flip at 5-6 min → 140°F internal
Step 4: The Butter Finish
Immediately top each steak with butter and fresh herbs. The heat melts the butter and infuses it with herb flavor — this is the magic step!
Step 5: Rest 5 Minutes
Tent loosely with foil. Waiting keeps all those juices inside the steak instead of running out when you cut it.
